Asprey Travel is a small, independent fare-research desk run out of Midtown Manhattan. We index publicly available fares out of the three New York gateways and hand traffic to partners or to the airline. We are not a travel agency.
About this site
Asprey Travel is a trade name operated as a sole proprietor by Theodore Asprey from New York, New York. We are not a travel agency, not an OTA, and not an airline. We do not have an LLC or any other registered legal entity. We are a fare-research desk that indexes publicly-available fares out of the New York gateways and links travelers to third-party partners or directly to the carrier of their choice.
When you click a "View on …" button, you leave our site and complete the booking on the partner's domain (Expedia, Trip.com, Kayak, Google Flights, Skyscanner, Kiwi.com, CheapOair) or on the airline's domain. We never see your payment information and we never issue a ticket.
If a fare on our site differs from the partner's checkout total, the partner's number is the correct one. Air fares can change in minutes; our index refreshes daily.
Why New York
The three New York gateways, JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark, between them serve more than 130 million annual passengers and operate as the busiest catchment in North America for international service. Adding the six secondary Northeast airports (Boston, Philadelphia, Washington National, Hartford, Long Island MacArthur, and Westchester) gives a New York-based traveler nine practical departure points for a single trip. A desk indexed to that catchment can usually find a fare structure most online travel agencies miss.

What we do and don't do
We do: index fares, write editorial pieces about specific corridors, maintain a baggage and refund grid, run a localStorage fare-watch tool, and link out to partners. We don't: take payments, issue tickets, hold inventory, claim agency accreditation, or run pixels or trackers on visitors.
